Another shuttle will bring participants from Cargese to Ajaccio Airport at the end of the school, on saturday the 18th. (More practical info will be posted later)

Cargèse is located on the west coast of Corsica. The closest airport and harbour are located in Ajaccio. Other itineraries are possible, but please be aware of the scarceness of public transportation in Corsica. Driving through Corsica is scenic, but can take a long time.

Will the bus wait? The bus departs as scheduled and will not wait.

What do I do if I miss the bus? If you miss the schedule, you are responsible for your own transportation.

Housing and food

Housing, for the duration of the school only, will be arranged by the staff of the Institut who will do its best to fulfill your preferences. Shared room is the standard lodging protocol during the school. Some extra fees will be requested from those asking for a single room (if available).

The Institute housing facilities on site include 26 double rooms, Two rooms are fully accessible to persons with reduced mobility. Most participants are lodged in the village of Cargèse, in studios to 4 bedrooms apartments. A 20 minute walk is required to reach the Institute from the village, it is therefore necessary to bring proper footwear and a flashlight for night returns. The Institute provides lunches to all participants and coffee breaks.

Evening meals are not included (with the exception of barbecue, appetizers or on explicit request). Participants should take care for evening meals on their own.The Institute may, upon request, assist in organizing group meals at restaurants in the village.

The participants will be accommodated in the village in apartments consisting of individual and shared rooms, or in the rooms available at the Institut.

Accompanying persons

The statement: "The rules at the IESC do not allow in practice to host accompanying persons
within the center." means that a participant is not expected to come accompanied
